# TAFE NSW HVAC Fire and Upgrades > After successfully completing HVAC and Fire upgrades at over 70 TAFE NSW campuses throughout NSW in 2023, the Precise Air Group and Precise Fire teams have… Source: https://www.preciseair.com.au/article/tafe-nsw-hvac-fire-and-upgrades News, Case Studies # TAFE NSW HVAC Fire and Upgrades 12 February 2024 After successfully completing HVAC and Fire upgrades at over 70 TAFE NSW campuses throughout NSW in 2023, the Precise Air Group and Precise Fire teams have begun work on the next phase of upgrades to over 48 campuses. Overcoming challenges were crucial factors in achieving the project’s objectives. These included: • scheduling and coordinating individual HVAC and Fire projects across 100 sites to accommodate premises availability during non-business hours and holidays • addressing supply chain issues including delays in equipment delivery, particularly fire panels. The scope of works includes: • more than 110 fire alarm systems and over 13,000 detectors • over 750 HVAC units, partnering with our parent company, Fujitsu General Australia • subcontractor and project management across metropolitan, regional The success of these projects can be attributed to meticulous control over program planning, project and site management, and procurement. By fostering collaborative relationships with our regional and remote SME subcontractors, we’ve ensured a consistently high-quality delivery of upgrade services across all locations, overcoming distance and logistical challenges. “Partnering with Precise Air Group has been vital in optimising the performance of our assets and driving energy savings,” said Sean McKeon, Investment Program Director ARP, TAFE Infrastructure NSW. “This collaboration has also ensured that upgrades to critical equipment are programmed to avoid disruption and support educational delivery”. These experiences and relationships have proven instrumental in transitioning into the maintenance services contract (including mechanical, fire, electrical) that is being delivered across all TAFE NSW campuses throughout the State. Safety and efficiency were critical priorities for the installations. On site toolbox talks with subcontractors were conducted. In some cases units were airlifted onto buildings using a helicopter.
