According to [Heart Research Australia](https://www.heartresearch.com.au/), one Australian every ten minutes (or 54,000 Australians every year) suffer a heart attack, and over 120,000 people a year suffer a serious workplace injury\*. So it’s vital that teams in the workplace have the confidence to provide first aid until help arrives to improve the chances of recovery and the prevention of permanent disability.

[Pinnacle Safety and Training](https://www.pinnaclesafety.com.au) recently took our team through the latest first aid methods, Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation ( CPR) and the use of defibrillators.

Not only does this training create a safer and well prepared workplace, but it also gives our people the skills to provide immediate first aid to their family, friends and the wider community.
