Project Wrap-Up: Delivering a New Benchmark in Life Safety at The Star Sydney

We’re wrapping up the largest networked digital EWIS installation in the Southern Hemisphere.
Our complex, live‑site, multi‑year EWIS and fire panel upgrade has been an incredible collaboration between Precise Fire, FireSense, Gloe Fire, WSP and The Star’s operations team. Together, we transitioned an ageing analogue system to a fully digital, future‑ready platform — all with zero unplanned outages in a 24/7 operational environment.
From the new fire‑rated fibre backbone to advanced digital panels, upgraded strobes and VADs, and innovative staging and commissioning methods, this project sets a new standard for safety, sustainability and system performance in high‑traffic public venues.
A huge thank you to everyone involved. Your expertise, commitment and teamwork brought this ambitious upgrade to life — and delivered a safer, smarter and more resilient environment for thousands of visitors and staff every day.

Supporting memorable experiences at the ATC
Precise Air has been partnering with the Australian Turf Club since 2021, providing HVAC and Fire services, and kitchen compliance cleaning to over 4,000 assets across their portfolio. Visitors expect a premium experience every time. Our shared goal is to ensure they enjoy their time without even noticing the conditions we provide. ATC’s General Manager Facilities, John Winter, explains that “one of the standout aspects of our partnership is the level of preparedness we can achieve together.
