The Australian Turf Club (ATC) is one of Australia’s premier entertainment and sporting organisations, hosting prestigious racing carnivals, major functions and large-scale hospitality experiences. During peak events, more than 100,000 guests may be on course, placing significant demands on the systems that support safety, comfort and service quality.
Since 2021, Precise Air has partnered with ATC to provide HVAC and fire services, together with kitchen exhaust and HVAC hygiene cleaning through Airgene, across more than 4,000 assets in ATC’s portfolio. The partnership brings specialist services together under one coordinated approach, helping ATC prepare for demand peaks while maintaining reliable operations throughout quieter periods.
The challenge
ATC’s operating environment changes rapidly. A venue can move from minimal patronage to a world-class event with large crowds, extensive dining operations and heightened safety requirements. HVAC, fire and kitchen exhaust systems must ramp up quickly and perform reliably, including on hot race days when temperature control and indoor air quality are under additional pressure.
For ATC, preparedness is central to reducing operational risk. Systems must be maintained, tested and compliant before guests arrive, while service partners need the flexibility and responsiveness to address issues directly and efficiently. The same discipline extends to commercial kitchens, where hygiene, exhaust performance and food-production controls must be ready for high-volume hospitality.
An integrated, event-ready solution
Precise Air coordinates services around ATC’s event calendar, scheduling planned maintenance during quieter periods and undertaking additional checks ahead of major events. This event-led approach helps ensure that critical systems are ready to scale when demand increases.
HVAC and indoor air quality: Precise Air supports temperature control, air quality and ongoing system optimisation across ATC sites. Fujitsu Airstage chillers installed in the Winx Stand contribute to energy performance and support the partnership’s shared focus on efficiency.
Fire safety and compliance: Precise Fire provides asset management spanning in-house design and installation, maintenance, testing and compliance. Its consulting and testing regimes help keep fire systems safe, reliable and ready for both peak and quiet periods.
Kitchen exhaust and hygiene: Airgene provides HVAC and kitchen exhaust cleaning for ATC’s hospitality facilities. HACCP-accredited technicians apply controls suited to food-production environments, helping reduce contamination and fire risk while preparing kitchens for high-volume service.
Partnership in practice
The value of the partnership lies not only in technical delivery, but also in accessibility and shared planning. ATC has direct access to the people who can act, helping its team respond quickly and focus on the guest experience. By coordinating compliance, maintenance and event readiness across multiple service disciplines, Precise Air helps reduce complexity and supports consistent standards across the portfolio.
