TAFE NSW Service Profile

TAFE NSW is one of the leading providers of education and training in Australia, charged with training the next generation of trade apprentices.

Precise Air provides mechanical, fire and electrical bundled services throughout NSW, self delivering core services and using subcontractors for emergency calls in regional and remote locations.

To roll out such a large program, our Head of Transformation managed a staged implementation, assisting TAFE in the transition from individual regional subcontractors to a single state-wide multi service contract. Precise Air established a TAFE NSW Business Unit, including dedicated account management, technicians, apprentices, service coordinators and administrators.

Our online safety system LinkSafe is being used to manage all inductions, licensing and certification requirements.

One of the most complex components of this contract is the integration of Precise Air’s asset and compliance management system, with TAFE NSW’s MS Dynamics. To manage this integration, we invested heavily in systems, process and data analysts and administrators, and in data automation tools. We worked closely with TAFE NSW’s business systems team to streamline systems and processes.

This allows technicians to spend as much time as possible on their technical area of specialty, thereby minimising time spent on administrative tasks.

We also created a dedicated TAFE NSW Asset Capture team who toured the State recording the details and condition of over 200,000 assets across 2,000 buildings on 200 campuses. Among this group was a team of data analysts ensuring the accurate data transfer into our compliance management system.
